The Inside Scoop Every Ducks Fan Wants To Know
There is an old saying when it comes to the NHL playoffs that while Game one of a playoff series is important, Game two is vital. While a lower seed can surprise a favorite rather easily in the first game of the series, the second game shows whether that higher team can correct their mistakes, or whether they are going to find themselves down two-to-nothing heading out on the road. It’s good news for Ducks fans, then, when they were able to pull out a 4-3 victory against the Nashville Predators in game two of their first round series. While it may not have been pretty (they nearly gave up a 4-1 lead), the Ducks were able to even the series heading back to Nashville.
It’s a good thing, too, as the Ducks looked anything but solid in the first game of the series. Pulling Dan Ellis after giving up a four goal lead at the beginning of the third period in game one seemed to be a turning point for the Ducks in the series. While Predators goalie Pekka Rinne looked darn impenetrable in game one, he seemed human in game two, which is good news for the Ducks who need to put the puck in the net more to win the series.
